Renovation & Expansion re-bid clears Council vote

At their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 17, Amherst Town Council rejected a proposal to stop cost cutting redesign plans for the Jones Library renovation and expansion, clearing the way for the project to proceed. Library Trustees have committed funds to extend the architect's contract, which the Town Manager signed on June 18. Architectural work is underway to make cost-saving design changes and re-bid the project in September.
