On Monday, December 18, 2023, the Amherst Town Council voted 12-0-1 to increase the borrowing cap for the Jones Library Building Project, clearing the way for the renovation and expansion to proceed. Appropriately, much of the discussion preceding the vote focused on Project finances and funding. In today's Amherst Current, we step back for a moment to remind ourselves why the Jones Library Renovation and Expansion is necessary.
